Saba Art Month - Jazz & Arts in the Park

A medley of art, music and culture took place on Saturday April 6th offering attendees the chance to take part in workshops and enjoy live entertainment. The event, hosted by the Tourist Bureau, took place from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Harry L. Johnson Museum Grounds, Windwardside. Local artists, Mary Thielman and Marie Petit, offered a painting and bracelet-making workshop respectively, with other artists showcasing their art. Saxophonist Connis and singer Betti V, both from St. Maarten, performed for the afternoon serenading participants and onlookers, accompanied by local DJ Zanderzone.

“Jazz & Arts in the park was a successful opening to our Saba Art Month activities, where children, tourists, jazz and art lovers all attended for an enjoyable afternoon on the historic museum grounds. The Tourism Bureau looks forward to hosting more community events collaborating with partners on the island,” said Alexis Charles, Product Development Coordinator for the Tourist Bureau.

Sip and Paint in the Rainforest will be the upcoming Saba Art month event, hosted at Rendezvous, Mountain Road on April 13th from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. hosted by two local painters.
