Saba Tourist Bureau attends the Vacation Fair in Utrecht, Netherlands


UTRECHT/SABA – The Saba Tourist Bureau attended the Vacation Fair ("Vakantiebeurs") in Utrecht, the Netherlands, held in the vibrant Caribbean Village section. This event, took place from January 11 to 14, and served as a pivotal platform for Saba, inspiring attendees to envision and plan their next Caribbean getaway.

 

On the business-to-business trade day, held on January 10, Saba hosted a happy hour for media representatives, tour operators, and travel agents. The gathering saw the presence of esteemed entities, including Duiken in Beeld, Duiken.nl, Nature Scanner, Reisprofs, Freelance Sybylle Kroon, WanderLust, Waanzinnige Wereld, ANWB Reizen, Bay Travel, Vamonos Travels, Travel Counsellors, and Travel Club.


"The Netherlands is one of Saba’s source markets, and maintaining a presence as a Dutch Caribbean Island is crucial among consumers and trade partners. It not only raises awareness but also provides holiday seekers with an alternative and exciting destination to consider when planning their vacations, in addition to highlighting the island-hopping opportunities," emphasized Malinda Hassell, Director of Tourism.

 

The Saba booth personnel consisted of Stephanie Peterson from Saba in collaboration with USP Marketing. USP marketing and PR firm handled the booth setup and coordinated the successful happy hour, contributing to the overall success of Saba's participation in this esteemed event.
