As of the 8:00 AM update on Tropical Storm Tammy, Saba has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Warning. A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area within 36 hours. The storm has slowed to 7 mph, and is still expected to move into the area this afternoon into tomorrow. The sustained winds near the center have increased to 65 mph and it is forecasted to continue to strengthen over the next few days. The minimum central pressure based on reconnaissance aircraft data continues to drop and is currently 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
Saba is still expected to experience tropical force winds ranging 39-46 mph with the possibility to increase around 57 mph. Total rainfall remains the same, forecasted 2-4 inches, with the potential to cause rock and mudslides in some areas.
