Update on Tropical Storm Philippe

Today, the Emergency Support Functions Team convened to assess the evolving conditions of Tropical Storm Philippe.
This morning, portions of Saba experienced significant rainfall, with some areas receiving up to 4 inches of rain. This has heightened our concern about (further potential) rock slides and emphasizes the need for vigilance.
Moving forward, over the next 3-4 hours and throughout the night, we anticipate heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. These weather conditions carry the potential for hazardous road conditions. In light of these circumstances, we strongly urge all residents to exercise utmost caution and venture out only if absolutely necessary. If you must travel, please take all necessary precautions and avoid possibly dangerous areas.
The Emergency Support Functions Team will reconvene after the evening weather update to assess the situation for tomorrow. The primary concern is the safety and well-being of our community, and we will take all necessary steps to mitigate risks.
In our commitment to keeping you informed, another update will be provided between 8:30 - 9:00 PM tonight. We encourage you to stay tuned to Facebook and WhatsApp for further updates and advisories.
