Public Entity Saba Employees Excel in Professional Development Training for Enhanced Workplace Skills


During the month of March, Public Entity Saba organized a professional development training where 31 Employees from Airport, Finance, Harbor, Community Development and Culture, Water plant, Waste Management & Recycling Department, Human Resource Management, Agriculture/Vector Control and Hygiene underwent a comprehensive three-day training program designed to enhance their professional skills. The program, structured by DDACT Training & Advice and facilitated by trainers Deniz Dogan and Jaro Wolff, focused on training consultancy. This initiative aimed to empower professionals dedicated to strengthening social safety within their workspace.


DDACT focuses on helping professionals implement skills needed for intricate social dynamics in professional settings, and covered key topics such as stress management, self-control, emotion and aggression regulation and effective communication techniques.


From the outset, Dogan and Wolff created an environment conducive to interactive learning, dividing participants into small groups to facilitate personalized attention and meaningful engagement. With a maximum of 10 participants per group, individuals were afforded ample opportunity to immerse themselves in the material and actively apply acquired skills within the training.

 

The training, commencing at 9 am and concluding at 4 pm each day, was structured to be intensive and comprehensive, allowing participants sufficient time to assimilate concepts thoroughly and engage in practical skill application. This meticulous planning ensured that participants could obtain maximum benefit from the program, arming them with invaluable tools to excel in their respective areas.

 

Throughout the program, participants were guided through various scenarios, with a focus on stress management and de-escalating challenging situations. Beginning with an exploration of the fundamentals, participants learned to maintain composure, exercise self-control, and assess situations both theoretically and through practical, interactive exercises. Emphasis was placed on understanding the nuances of interpersonal dynamics and identifying effective strategies for conflict resolution.

 

Dogan and Wolff underscored the importance of viewing the training experience holistically, encouraging participants to integrate newfound knowledge and skills into their professional and personal lives. By emphasizing the interconnectedness of thought processes and behaviors, participants were empowered to navigate diverse challenges with confidence and resilience.

 

Upon completion of the training, participants departed with a sense of accomplishment, supplied with practical strategies to enhance self-care, and navigate complex professional scenarios with poise and efficacy.


The overwhelmingly positive evaluation score of 9.6 out of 10 reflects the program's success in meeting its objectives and equipping those who participated with practical strategies for self-care and professional growth. This feedback highlights the value and impact of investing in professional development to enhance workplace dynamics and individual performance.
